| Workshop - Sandblasting July 30th Current Workshop: Ceramic Sandblasting Workshop July 30th Are you looking for a unique way to enrich your ceramic surface? Using sandblasting techniques, Andre Bally will show you how to create beautifully embossed images and add surface depth to your glazes. This method quickly produces complex carved imagery on bisque or can reveal layers of surface depth to an already glazed piece. We will cover how to make your own stencils, use the equipment, and safety procedures. This workshop is hands-on, so you’ll leave with a sampling of tiles made with the sandblasting process. Space is limited to 10 students. Andre founded Bally Studios along with his wife, Virginia Bally, in Humble, Texas. Influenced by Japanese and North American Indian design motifs, the work of Bally Studios is in private collections in Canada, Europe and the United States. |
